Our History

Anthony Darling started his sign-making business back in 1946. Working from a small workshop in Twickenham he established a reputation in the local area and West London. During the sixties both of his sons, David and Richard came to work for their father and some years later took over the business. By the eighties, AJ Darling and Sons had moved to its current location in Mereway Road, Twickenham. Here, with the development of modern signwriting techniques, the Darling brothers invested in vinyl cutting technology which allowed the business to solidify its already excellent reputation.

By the end of 2007, David and Richard were ready to retire and AJ Darling and Sons became Darling Signs, joining forces with Expo-Fx a long-established Weybridge sign-making business. With new investment in digital printing together with its experienced staff Darling Signs is well placed to move forward offering excellent service and product well into the next sixty years.
